President and Chief Executive Officer
Georges Archambault served as President and CEO of Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ) for over six years. In that capacity he developed and implemented a three-year strategic plan that enabled the organization to revamp its image, put together a number of major research projects, substantially increase revenues from external sources, and forge close ties with various actors in the world of research and innovation.
Before joining CRIQ, Georges spent more than 15 years working for various Québec government ministries in the field of research and innovation, first as director general and then as assistant deputy minister. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, as well as an MBA from École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal.
Georges Archambault has held the position of President and CEO of IRDA since August 2015.
