La Voix de l’Est | Lac Boivin watershed: a collaborative agricultural project

December 14th, 2017

Watershed modelling

The Lac Boivin watershed project, with which IRDA is involved, was officially launched recently. The project will be coordinated by OBV Yamaska from 2017 to 2021.

IRDA researcher Aubert Michaud is tasked with conducting GéODEP modelling of the watershed. The information garnered will be used to establish the scientific basis for determining how best to proceed.

The goal of this project is to improve the water quality of the Lac Boivin watershed and Rivière Yamaska Nord and, in so doing, to protect the drinking water intake sites for the City of Granby.
