About

Catherine Bossé (agr.) earned a bachelor's degree in agronomy from Université Laval. She has over 10 years of experience in soil science and project management. Her previous positions at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and at an agri-environmental advisory club saw her participate in research projects in agricultural settings, including a national agricultural watershed project—the Watershed Evaluation of Beneficial Management Practices Program. A soil science project manager since 2017, Catherine strives to raise awareness and understanding of soil science and to make it more accessible to farmers and other stakeholders in the agricultural community. One of her objectives is to improve methods for acquiring and interpreting soil data. Her role will also involve providing support to IRDA researchers on matters of soil science. Some of the areas where soil science has a major impact include soil and water conservation, crop fertilization, organic farming, and soil microbiology.
